What are All on Four Implants?
The All on Four implant technique is a procedure that ensures the fixation of a dental prosthesis on four dental implants placed at certain angles in one operation. All On Four treatment can be applied to all toothless patients with sufficient bone volume and has no systemic diseases that may interfere with dental implant surgery. Studies have shown that the All On Four procedure has a high success rate in long-term follow-up. Since the number of required treatment sessions is small, it is suitable for patients visiting from other countries.
What are the differences between All on four and regular implants?
The biggest difference between regular implants and All-on-4 implants; is how they are positioned in the mouth. While 8 or 10 implants are used to replace missing teeth in a completely toothless jaw, only 4 implants are sufficient with this new technique.
The front implants can be placed at an angle of 90 degrees, while the implants at the back can be placed at an angle of 45 degrees to ensure maximum rigidity. These 4 implants can be placed in the fist step and in the second step, Bridge or crowns are placed on the implants.
Temporary dentures are prepared according to the measurement taken from the patients before 4-all-on-temporary treatment. Implants are placed under local anesthesia. Temporary prostheses prepared according to the size are attached to these implants. After 3 months, the patient’s permanent prostheses are attached and the patient will end up with a new set of teeth that they can use a lifetime.
Is All on four a painful procedure?
All on four is not a painful procedure as it is done under local anesthetics. Thanks to the anesthetics, the patient will not feel anything during the whole procedure.
What are the advantages of All-On-4 treatment?
With all-on-4, the treatment is completed in a short time and it is possible to get a healthy appearance quicker than any other implant procedure. It is more economical than traditional implant method for patients who are completely toothless or who are likely to remain completely toothless. The implants placed at an angle receive support from the area with better bone quality and also prevent the anatomical structures from being damaged.
